Opening and Closing Baggage
Thank you for purchasing a Modo by Roncato suitcase. We hope it will become your faithful companion on all your travels to discover the world! This page is dedicated to the different types of combination locks that your suitcases are equipped with. In fact, padlocks are not all the same, they may differ in some details, even if their function is the same: to secure the contents of your suitcase.
Here you will find yours and you can set it up with a few simple steps.
What is TSA?
The TSA lock padlock is a particular type of lock that is used to close a suitcase, baggage or backpack before boarding an international flight, generally to the USA. The acronym TSA indicates, in fact, the Transportation Security Administration, the American government body that protects airport security for travelers in the United States.
This type of padlock can be opened with a universal key that customs are equipped with, to carry out random checks. In fact, the key is not present in your luggage.
What is the Combination?
It is the set of three digits combined together by you when you set it and which allow you to secure your luggage. It will therefore remain blocked by the padlock.
What if you forget the combination? We suggest you write it down in a safe place but if you forget it, don't worry, you can let us know at the following e-mail address:

Useful tips
At the end of each plane trip, immediately check upon arrival that your suitcase has not been damaged during transport in the hold (if you have taken it on board). If this is the case, contact the airline you traveled with immediately to report the damage.
If you think it is a manufacturing defect, you will have to send the item at your own expense to the nearest RV Roncato Service Centres, Dealer or Retailer, attaching the receipt.
How does the assistance work?
However, please remember that any manufacturing defects found by the buyer after the warranty has expired can be repaired at his own expense, provided that the part to be replaced is still available.
If, however, the damage is caused by wear and tear, negligence, abuse of the baggage itself, exposure to extreme temperatures, abrasion, damage caused by contact of the product with acids, solvents, water, as well as transport damage caused by carriers and accidents, the damaged item can be entrusted to one of our Service Centres, Dealers or Retailers who will estimate the cost of the repair, to be paid by the user.
How to set your combination
Locate the lock in your luggage and follow the procedure to change the default combination 0-0-0. If you are not a frequent traveller, we advise you to use recurring numbers in your life, it will help you not to recover it.
